About Ken
Working with Ken McKellar in group supervision is an invitation to slow down, tell the truth, and grow in good company.
Ken brings more than 25 years of experience in counseling, leadership development, professional coaching, mentoring, and supervision. He is a Master Certified Coach, Board Certified Coach, and EMCC Accredited Supervisor, and he brings all of that experience into the room with clarity, humor, and genuine care for the work coaches are called to do.
In Ken’s groups, you can expect a space that is reflective, honest, relational, and developmentally rich. Coaches bring real client situations, ethical questions, emotional responses, cultural dynamics, moments of uncertainty, and the parts of the work that resist a checklist.
Ken’s approach is grounded and human. He listens closely, asks thoughtful questions, names what he is noticing with care, and invites coaches to look beneath the surface of their practice. The work is serious, and the space stays steady. There is room for learning, laughter, silence, challenge, tenderness, and the kind of reflection that helps a coach become more aware of who they are in the work.
This group is for coaches who want to grow their practice, strengthen their presence, and think alongside other thoughtful practitioners. We come together to notice, reflect, learn, and develop, together.

What supervision helps create
A place to think, feel, and grow.
Supervision gives coaches room to bring the parts of the work that need time, care, and reflection. You may bring client dynamics, ethical questions, cultural context, emotional residue, boundaries, confidence, or patterns that keep showing up across your practice. It is a space to think out loud, notice what you are carrying, and learn from the work with support.
A place to think
Bring client work, ethical questions, cultural dynamics, and patterns that need space and perspective.
A place to feel
Notice what the work leaves with you, what you carry, and what may need care or reflection.
A place to grow
Supervision supports your practice and the person you are inside the work.
“Bring the weight of your practice into good company.”

Is this the same as mentor coaching?
Mentor coaching develops skills against ICF competencies and credentialing standards. Supervision holds a wider frame: client dynamics, the coach's own responses, ethics, boundaries, culture, systems, and wellbeing.
Do I need to be credentialed to join?
You should be actively coaching. Credentialed, newer, and experienced coaches all benefit, provided you are ready for reflective practice and group learning.
What if I miss a session?
Group supervision leans on presence and trust, so regular attendance matters. If you miss a session, you will receive any shared materials. The live reflection lives in the room with the group.
How do CCEs work?
1 CCE per hour, up to 9 total. Applicable as Core Competency hours toward credential renewal. Documentation is provided at the close of the program.
Is the group confidential?
Yes. Absolutely. Participants protect the identity of clients, organizations, and fellow members. We review confidentiality expectations at the first meeting.
